The Cumberland Gap Region (In Pictures – Then and Now), published in July 1997, is a large 290-page, hard-bound book with a leather-like cover. It contains almost 500 pictures of the region around the Gap – Middlesboro, Cumberland Gap, Harrogate and LMU, the Cumberland Gap National Historic Park, Bell County, Claiborne County, and Lee County. About three-fourths of the book is pictures, and the other part is special historical material. Most of the pictures are enlarged post card pictures of the past and panoramic pictures of the present. $30.00

Clearfork and More (History and Memories), published in August 1986, is a large 424-page, hard-bound book with a leather-like cover. It has historic information about Claiborne County, Campbell County, and the towns near Clearfork (especially Jellico and Middlesboro) in addition to more detailed and family related information on the coal mining communities of Morley, White Oak, Anthras, Eagan, Clairfield, Valley Creek, Pruden, and Fonde. $25.00

Speedwell (Through 200 Years) was published in 1985 and is similar to the Clearfork book. It contains 380 large pages about the historic Powell Valley in Tennessee not far from the Cumberland Gap. It has much history of the area as well as many up-to-date pictures of community scenes. Speed and Powell Valley have historic homes, schools, and churches – all of these have a place in the book. $25.00 plus

Pruden (As We Remember It) was published in 1983, a coal mining community, is on the Tennessee-Kentucky state line not far from Cumberland Gap – but in the Clearfork Valley across the mountain. The 122-page hardbound copy $18.00

Pamphlets on the Counties of Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, and Union were published in 1986. Much of that historic material was collected as a government project during the Roosevelt Administration for a book or books on the state but was never published. The author got permission to use the material, updated statistics to 1986, and added pictures, maps, and other data. $3.00

Cove Lake State Recreational Park was published as a booklet in 1989. This park is on I-75 and 25W at Caryville, Tennessee. This booklet contains information, pictures, and maps on the history, use and facilities of the park and the Cumberland Trail. $4.00

Inventory of Historic Writings (of Anderson, Campbell, Claiborne, Union, and Snyder Roberts) was published in 1991. This booklet was a project to inform the public and the historical societies of historical work that has already been done in these counties. $3.00

The Depot Talks is a children's historic booklet. In it the depot tell its story as to its building, use, and final destruction. It challenges young people to record history and to try to preserve historic buildings. Published in 1991. $3.00

Circling Windrock Mountain by Augusta Grove Bell. This book is about several Anderson County, TN communities, including Frost Bottom, Pilot Mt., Duncan Flats, the town of Oliver Springs, and others. Published in March 1999 by the University of Tennessee Press and available at many local bookstores. Reviewed in the 1999-2 issue of The Pellissippian. $17.50
