  Soldier And wife Die As Car And Truck Meet On Rain Slick Highway. Two hospitalized in serious condition - Driver is held for manslaughter.
  
  Two victims were added by Anderson County to what was described as the bloodiest Weekend on East Tennessee Highways when a young man and his wife died in a grinding crash on Highway 25-W about two miles north of Town. Two others who were riding in the same car are in serious condition in a Knoxville hospital. The Anderson County Fatalities occurred when the 1948 model car driven by Henry C. Yarber crashed into a two-ton coal truck which skidded on a sharp curve on the wet pavement. The truck was driven by Glenn Edward Morton , 24, of Lenoir City, who was charged by the Highway Patrol with involuntary manslaughter. The truck was headed North on Highway 25-W and apparently skidded sideways coming around the curve. The corner of the steel bed on the truck caught the top of the Yarber car, almost literally shearing it off. Yarber was driving with his wife beside him in the front seat. Mrs. Bailey and her grandson were in the back seat of the four-doorsedan. Mrs. Bailey was thrown out of the demolished car by the impact, and Yarber and his wife were pinned in the front seat. The dead are Pvt. Henry C. Yarber, 30, here on leave from Fort Knox., Ky. and his wife , Mrs. Bonnie Mae Bailey Yarber, 27, of Clinton. Seriously injured are Mrs Rosie Bailey, 52, mother of Mrs. Yarber, and Mrs. Bailey's grandson, 12yr. old James Bailey. Yarber who was married in January, is the father of four young children by a previous marriage.

  Henry C. Yarber Dies in Fatal Car Crash Yarber is survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. James H. Yarber of Dayton, Ohio; two sons, Henry Jr. and Dennis Ray; two daughters, Gladys Jean and Cassie all of Dayton; five brothers, Rufe, Jesse, Clyde, Thomas, and Elmer; two sisters, Mrs. Thelma Rummell and Mrs. Paul Prince. Services were to be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. at the Second Baptist Church in Clinton, Tenn. with Rev. George Williams and Rev. Ralph Schubert officiating. Burial will be at the National Cemetery in Knoxville. There will be a Military Service at the grave site.

  Mrs. Bonnie Mae Bailey Yarber Dies in Fatal Car Crash. Mrs Bonnie Mae Bailey Yarber Mrs Bonnie Mae Yarber dies in a fatal Car Crash in which her husband Henry C.Yarber was driving and her mother Mrs.Rosie Bailey and her grandson James Bailey were seriously injured. Mrs. Bonnie Yarber is survived by two children by a former marriage, son, Leslie Murphy and Sandra Murphy, Mrs. Bailey,father, Frank Bailey, sister, Rose Bailey. Brothers, W. F. Bailey all of Clinton, Tenn. and S. E. Bailey of El Paso, Texas. Services will be held at 2:30 P.M. Friday at North Clinton Baptist Church with Martin's of Clinton in charge
